The George Bancroft Elementary School Family envision a partnership of students, staff, parents, and the community working together to provide a nurturing, challenging and safe school environment. We are dedicated to ensuring that all children are guided toward achieving individual excellence, appreciating and respecting one another, contributing positively to a changing world, and becoming life-long learners.
Our school promotes a school-wide positive behavioral support program. All students are taught specific rules and positive behavior is modeled by every adult in an effort to demonstrate to students what positive behaviors look and sound like. Bancroft's motto is: "Bancroft kids are Respectful, Responsible, Kind, and Safe".
Our school rules are:
1. Respect people and property.
2. Be prepared.
3. Listen and follow directions
4. Raise your hand before you speak or leaving your seat.
5. Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
We provide all students with a variety of opportunities to engage in the best instructional practices that respond to the needs of the citizenry in the 21st century and in getting students college and career ready. An emphasis on common core instructional practices guide our daily work. Data is analyzed on a steady basis to inform decision making in a collaborative environment between professionals.
We value parental support and input. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate actively with us to create a positive and successful educational experience for our students.
